The 2022 Chevrolet Suburban takes to the road with additional standard safety features, including lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and front parking sensors, along with a new standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for LT trims and up, and an available 6.2-liter V8 engine, which is now available for the Z71, RST, and Premier trims.
The 2022 Suburban’s cabin boasts of a slew of standard features, including a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay®, eight USB ports, Wi-Fi, keyless entry, a tri-zone automatic climate control system, push-button start, remote start, among others. Available features include a digital gauge cluster, navigation, a rear-seat entertainment system, a moonroof, and more. The three-row Suburban can seat up to eight people.
The Suburban arrives with three choices of engines. These include a 5.3-liter V8 engine with 355 horsepower, a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with 277 horsepower, and a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower. Each engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Suburban has a max towing capacity of 8,300 pounds when properly equipped.
The Suburban comes with several standard safety features, such as a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, rear-seat alert, teen driver, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, forward automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning.
The Suburban is offered in six trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country.
The Chevrolet Suburban was first introduced in 1934 as a Carryall Suburban. It currently is the longest continuously used auto nameplate in production. The Suburban was also produced under the GMC nameplate before the version was rebranded to the Yukon XL.
