Our Reviews
Craig went out of his way to get the vehicle I wanted. It was very professional and easy to do business at this dealership.
Went to the dealership and was set up with this salesman by the name of Mark. Through the hole experience of buying our pickup he always extremely excellent about communication, spot on with information (if he didn't know he found out!), Showed a real person for what he dose and helped use out the hole way!! The rest of the Tillman team were always kind and good to work with but just wanted to say outstanding job by Mark. Also to Sam the guy who told us about the pickup in the first place, Thank you !!!
Terrible experience here with Todd.. We had a part ordered in drove here from Canada. Turned out being the wrong part, the staff at the dealership said that a refund would be processed on Monday for it. Todd called on Monday said he would do a refund for $580. I checked my email for the refund receipt and seen that they charged a 25% restocking fee. I called asking why this was charged when I was lead to understand that we would get a full refund and Todd then denied ever saying that. I was never once informed about any type of potential restocking fee in any of our conversations about this part. I emailed and Todd replied that they would not refund the restocking fee. I tried to phone at which time he picked up the phone at the dealership and hung up. I tried to phone again and he didn’t answer the phone. If you need parts I would recommend looking else where. This dealership has sneaky charges that they won’t tell you about until afterwards, and Todd clearly has no care about customers at all.
Recently cosigned for a cousin who just immigrated to the US. Given that she is in a new place that is considered to have one of harshest winters in the country, she wanted to get a new and dependable vehicle ASAP as it just started snowing a few days ago. She looked around and finally found a 2024 Chevy Equinox LT AWD at this dealership. The sticker price - $32,940 and they were selling it to her as is. That was great as a lot of car dealers now mark up the price significantly. On the day my cousin went to the dealership, she alerted me that the sales rep would give me a call to do the paperwork online as I live in another state. Received the documents to be e-signed. Reviewed them. 7.09% for 6-year term. Two things caught my attention - Portfolio Protection for $2900 and NWPP (Northwest Protection Package) for $2181. These were add-ons. My cousin was not aware of these and they wanted me to sign it right away. I thought something was off here. I asked to speak to someone on the phone to inquire about these 2 extras. Spoke to Jennifer, their finance manager, and she explained that the Portfolio Protection can be removed but not the NWPP as it is “part of the sales for any new vehicles”. Ended our conversation and suspected that she was probably drafting a new contract without the Portfolio Protection. While she was doing that I came across an online ad about an ongoing deals on APRs - 3.9% for 5 years. Boy, I thought I was on to something so I called Jennifer back and told her about this. To my dismay, she said that this is only available to buyers (even with qualified co-signers) who are approved independently. The other reason Jennifer gave me was because my cousin and I don’t live in the same household together, we could not avail this promotion. I specifically asked her if she already tried the 5-year loan application and she very quickly said yes and got denied. Not sure if any of these were true. Didn’t have the time or a way to verify these at that moment. Still not satisfied with the conversations I already had with her and the answers she gave me, I emailed her about the NWPP again and asked the full details of it and whether this was mandated by the state to be included in the sale or not. She replied by sending back an attachment about the NWPP - all 6 pages of it and on the bottom of the first page, it says “The purchase of this Contract is not required to either purchase or obtain financing for the Vehicle.” Ha! Spoke to Jennifer on the phone for the 3rd time to discuss the document. She got defensive and said that they could take it out but she would have to sell the car for $35K instead of the sticker price of $32,940. Clever! She got more defensive and raised her voice when I said why she lied to me about the “non-optional” NWPP. I said she should have told me about this in the beginning when I first asked about it and not after finding out the truth based on the document. She further explained that she has had no problems about this from the other buyers before. Not sure if I believe that. Very typical of car dealerships. Very unprofessional. At the end of our conversation, she was insinuating that my cousin could buy this car on her own and she did not really need me to co-sign it. In my mind - Yes, she can but for 15% or 24% APR? She also said she would not take out the Portfolio Protection anymore. In the end, my cousin was agreeable to buying the car even with those 2 add-ons. When I received another email with the new sales contact, the Portfolio Protection was actually omitted but the NWPP was not. Very frustrating. I reluctantly signed it at the urging of my cousin. They could sense her desperation to buy a car and took advantage of her. Immigrant with an accent, woman, new driver, urgent need for car - excellent recipe for predatory dealerships. I am not just a co-signer like I sensed from these people. I was advocating for her. I definitely will NOT recommend this dealership!
I bought a vehicle outright (paid full price) from Tilleman’s and after test driving it noticed an issue with the heat/air conditioning vents/venting system on the passenger side. When I turned the air condition/heat on and off I could hear the actuator getting stuck in the dash (which then caused the passenger side vents to either not blow any air out at all or blow out cold). I brought this up and was told that the issue would be looked at and repaired. Therefore, my vehicle was left there for an additional week to “fix” this issue. About three weeks after purchasing the vehicle, I noticed the issue was not resolved and didn’t seem to have been fixed. I contacted the salesman, who assisted with getting me an appointment in the auto shop at Tilleman’s for evaluation of the vehicle. I then brought up the fact that this was an issue with the vehicle that was already there and that I brought it up during the test drive and was told that it would be fixed. Obviously it never was. Tilleman’s auto shop then failed to communicate/call me with any updates and my vehicle sat there two whole weeks without them even touching it. I myself had to contact the shop and was told that they were waiting for authorization and arrival of parts, which I understand, however I would have already gone two weeks without my only vehicle (leaving me on foot) and could have picked up my vehicle until authorization was approved and parts arrived, however due to miscommunication, my vehicle sat outside their shop untouched. After having a heated discussion about this, Tilleman’s agreed to let me take my vehicle for the weekend to Christmas shop (being that this was my only vehicle and source of transportation) and was told to bring my vehicle back that Monday and that it should be ready to pick up by the end of the week. I then get another call stating that an additional part is needed and will be ordered with said date of arrival. However, there was a delay in delivery of the part (which again, I understand) but I now have gone a total of 7 weeks without my vehicle at this point. I’m beginning to think that this is their excuse for everything. Every time I call to check on the status of my vehicle with said date of expected completion, I get excuse after excuse as to why my vehicle is not repaired and ready to pick up yet. It has been a huge inconvenience and frustration because I feel that if this issue was resolved after the test drive, like I was originally told it would be, I wouldn’t be in this predicament. I also feel that due to the miscommunication the first two weeks that they are very unprofessional.
Excellent People to Deal With. Helped me to navigate ordering and financing the this truck. Really appreciated their updates as my order progressed.
Normally excellent. This pickup repair was way too expensive with parts double, triple, or more such as spark plugs at $19.99 each. I never asked for an advance dealer estimate but personally expected three or four hundred not over a thousand. Bob Johnke

Outstanding customer Service Kyle Moor kept me updated on the Vehicle I wanted had to travel 700 miles round trip for vehicle but it was worth it. Cost was less by Three thousand dollars than any Dealership in North Dakota. Highly recommend TILLEMAN MOTOR COMPANY. G.BAILEY
If Craig would have been a man of his words and called back like he said, we could have probably came to an agreement. First experience with Tillman's, I purchased my first pickup (18k) with $2500 down payment. It was agreed and shook upon that they would hold the check for 5 days. I immediately left the state for work and before I made it even 100 miles, that check had bounced, only to bounce 6 more times in the next three days. After a good conversation with Mike, (bless his heart) he was very concerned on making things right. I took no further action or financial compensation just based on that call. Fast forward a few years, 18 ram needed two new batteries. I had them pulled on a shelf downtown for much less than Tillman's wanted. but after being told it was under warranty, just let them change the battery. I had a gut feeling this wasnt going to go well considering the pickup had been into service at least 8 times with poor quality work. Turbo xxxx near fell out after they replaced, nothing was tight, solenoid was knowingly broken and hidden. For a month they were just throwing parts at the truck. Well after 4 weeks they say they batteries are not covered and even charge install. On another vehicle, they completely drained transmission and added 7 more quarts of oil to crank case and slapped it out the door. You lose with Tillman's
Everyone was friendly and very helpful. From sales to parts and service. Thank you Parts and Service you went over and beyond. Thank you again
I'm giving Tilleman Motors a poor rating because the salesmen did not do a good job of helping me purchase the truck I wanted and misled me from the start. I was told he would drive the truck six hours to my location and drive my trade in back. Then it became me driving the trade in, full day for me, to get checked out first. We agreed on a price and I would drive, two days total or me, to make the deal final. I asked to put down money to hold the truck via debit card. Salesmen told me he would "put a foot on it" and call me in the morning to take my deposit as he was off in an hour. No call the next morning, finally calls me around noon. Salesmen tells me that another customer had made an appointment for the next week to see the truck, and I could not make a deposit to hold the truck. I told him I would have the truck paid for by that time. Never hear from them again. I called the customer service individual I had spoken to earlier and left a message, they never return the call. Had dealings with four other dealers during this period, Tilleman was the worst service of them all. Will not ever do business with them again.
